Two appropriately Christmassy beers given the time of year (although posted rather late). Both presents from my Step sis Lou, along with a great selection of my favourite Adnams brews – lucky boy.
Rockin Robin is a dark ruby beer, thick, rich and raisiny in the start, before a tang on the tongue in the middle. The ending is earthy and perhaps a little metallic. Decent stuff.
Sleighed is a smooth but rather mild stout, sweet with some smokiness, but not a great deal. It’s actually surprisingly hoppy as well. It lacks the full bodied texture and flavour is expect, and is if anything a little watery.
You may have noticed the brilliant pop up cup that I got a well. Genius idea.
